我曾经爱过你：爱情，也许

在我的心灵里还没有完全消亡；

但愿它不会再打扰你；

我也不想再使你难过悲伤。

我曾经默默无语地、毫无指望地爱过你，

我既忍受着羞怯，又忍受着嫉妒的折磨；

我曾经那样真诚、那样温柔地爱过你，

但愿上帝保佑你，另一个人也会像我爱你一样。

英文译本：

First version:

I loved you; and perhaps I love you still,

The flame, perhaps, is not extinguished（熄灭）; yet

It burns so quietly within my soul,

No longer should you feel distressed（哀伤的） by it.

Silently and hopelessly I loved you,

At times too jealous and at times too shy.

God grant you find another who will love you

As tenderly and truthfully as I.

Second version :

I loved you, and I probably still do,

And for a while the feeling may remain.

But let my love no longer trouble you,

I do not wish to cause you any pain.

I loved you; and the hopelessness I knew,

The jealousy, the shyness - though in vain -

Made up a love so tender and so true

As may God grant you to be loved again.

Third  version:

I loved you: and, it may be, from my soul

The former love has never gone away,

But let it not recall to you my dole（(诗／文)命运；定数）;

I wish not sadden you in any way.

I loved you silently, without hope, fully,

In diffidence（缺乏自信）, in jealousy, in pain;

I loved you so tenderly and truly,

As let you else be loved by any man.

Fourth version: （最喜欢的译本)

 I loved you; even now I may confess(承认）,

Some embers（余烬） of my love their fire retain（保留）;

But do not let it cause you more distress（悲痛，苦恼）,

I do not want to sadden you again.

Hopeless and tongue-tied, yet I loved you dearly

With pangs（悲痛） the jealous and the timid know;

So tenderly I loved you, so sincerely,

I pray God grant another love you so.
