这首“Ordinary Human”是OneRepublic为电影《赐予者（The Giver）》也叫《记忆传授人》创作的原声歌曲。
OneRepublic是美国的一个流行摇滚乐队，曲风走流行、独立摇滚的路线。OneRepublic乐队于2002年在美国科罗拉多州成立，迄今共有成员5位，主唱、键盘、制作Ryan Tedder；吉他手Zach Filkins与Drew Brown；贝斯、大提琴手Brent Kutzle；以及鼓手Eddie Fisher。2006年以一首Apologize红遍全球。他们在2007年底发行了首张专辑《Dreaming Out Loud》，在美国也已卖出金唱片的成绩，更让英美乐迷评盛：“继基音、酷玩、魔力红之后，OneRepublic将是摇滚乐迷唯一的选择。”
