《Into The West》可以翻译为“航向西方”,“远渡西方”等。
佛罗多所去的地方,是中土西边大海外的“蒙福之地”阿门洲,里是一处只有精灵船才能去的地方,是地图上不能找到其所在的神圣之地,可以理解为那个世界的天堂.阿门洲是众神居住的所在,佛罗多去那里才能将自己在销毁魔戒旅途中受到的伤害全部得到根治。
这首曲子是整个魔戒系列电影的完结曲目，霍华邀请全英音乐奖特别成就奖/Billboard世纪奖双料得主安妮兰妮克丝(Annie Lennox)献唱,同时力邀爱尔兰长笛大师-詹姆斯高威爵士(Sir James Galway)与著名女高音芮妮芙莱明(Renee Fleming)分别为乐曲营造意境美感，升华雄伟性灵。
