每當主的福佑降臨，我們就會頌唱這短頌。耶穌是我主。歌詞擇自斐理伯書第二章十至十一節「致使上天、地上和地下的一切，一聽到耶穌的
名字，無不屈膝叩拜，一切唇舌無不明認耶穌基督是主。」
"主" 是歸根於天主的神聖。在福音中稱耶穌為 "主" 時，即明認耶穌是天主。

"Lord" is the divine attribute of God. When the Scriptures call Jesus "Lord", they profess that Jesus is God.
Jesus Christ Lord is a very short creed of the early Church: "if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in
your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans,10:9)
