这只2001才出现的两人组合有着Red House Painters一般的凄清孤寂，如同Low一样的低调和缓慢，像Mazzy Star那样漠然但却更媚惑的唱腔。然而在对于忧伤情调的沉溺之中，你偶尔也会发现Azure Ray身体里潜伏的双面幽灵：一点点喇叭，贝司和弦乐以及英式流行曲的旋律，让吉他噪音缺席的"How You Remember"也流淌出Slowdive的迷幻意境。而最后那首温暖轻快的民谣Rest Your Eyes则将你的无端忧郁悄悄收藏，重新封存回这张可以留给明天去倾听的唱片之中。
有一种音乐，作为背景音乐时毫无知觉，只觉得很轻 缓、很好听，但让你很想放下手边工作，等你看看歌词，仔细听她们到底在唱什么时，却不自觉让旋律一遍一遍至熟记为止，这些缓慢悲伤的曲子，有著心情净化的 仪式效果。Maria Taylor和Orenda Fink 两个女生组成的Azure Ray，即是属於这一类。
