Over My Head——The Fray

要不是The Fray的单曲Over My Head (Cable Car)最终登上了单曲榜的前一百名，这个在去年就推出首张大碟的乐队一定会被我忽略，而现在回头看看这支组合，我又突然想到有着相同状况的Maroon5，他的专辑最初发行的时候同样无人问津，最后成为前两年的销售强手，The Fray就暗自希望成为第二个Maroon5吧，虽然历史重复的可能性并不太大。成立于2002年的丹佛乐队The Fray由四人组成，经过三年的努力，在去年的九月份推出了首张专辑How to Save a Life，之前提到的单曲Over My Head (Cable Car)最早出现在电影原声大碟Stealth之中。聊到The Fray的音乐，也许并无新鲜感可言，但也决不是下三烂的垃圾货。虽然不一定是模仿，但一听就会让人联想到两支英国的乐队，Coldplay和Keane，特点在于The Fray对于钢琴的钟爱，对于Coldplay的相似之处，我可以这么说，有时候你在听一首歌的前奏的时候，期待的是Chris Martin的声音，直到主音的声音出现，你才发觉你原来在听The Fray的音乐，专辑也绝对是可听的，我说的可听的指的是，如果在公共场所播放他们的专辑，机会没有人会提出任何的异议，虽然很对人会无视他的存在。

Naive——The Kooks

来自英国Brighton的The Kooks是一支相当新锐的团体，他们新军的名声在2004年推荐自己的单曲后一直攀升．主音歌手Luke Pritchard的年龄不过19岁。这支被同Supergrass和Blur的音乐做比较的乐队在04年7月份发行了首支单曲Eddie’s Gun，两分钟的音乐把The Kooks描绘成了一种浓缩型的音乐团体，专辑的多数歌曲都是三分左右的.The Kooks体现传统英伦的元素并不多.他们的2006新单曲you don't love me已经在本周的英国流行音乐榜最新的榜单中名列本周第12位.
