电影介绍
富有的商人jack和妻子约了朋友租了豪华游艇去度假，没想到由于救生员和船长怄气，失手将一块毛巾扔到了炉灶上，游艇突然着火沉没。妻子与救生员Manuel流落到小岛上，过上了原始人的生活，他们在海边用椰树枝搭起了房子，靠在海里寻找食物为生，两人晚上睡在一起，冷了就拥抱着互相取暖，但始终保持着清白的关系。不久后的一天救生员Manuel正在海边打渔，凯利布鲁克的丈夫jack被海浪冲上了小岛。Manuel急忙将他救起。jack醒来后，看到妻子和救生员Manuel在岛上搭的房子，联想到妻子和他这几天同居在那里，心里很是不快。结果救生员Manuel看出了端倪，将房子让给了夫妻二人，自己在附近又搭建了一座。沦落在荒岛上的三个人需要食物，救生员Manuel利用仅有的工具在海里捕鱼，足够自己维持生命的，而jack也下海去捕鱼，饿着肚子的妻子来到了Manuel身旁，Manuel给她食物。jack对妻子与救生员的关系充满了怀疑，于是和救生员不断发生摩擦。jack身上有一个打火机，在房子旁边燃起了篝火，一天他打渔回来，发现救生员也点起了篝火在烤鱼吃，怀疑他偷了自己的火种，与他扭打起来，最终虽然被妻子劝开，但二人结下仇恨。一天，jack偷了Manuel潜望镜下海捕鱼，Manuel怒火中烧，拿起鱼叉要杀了jack，jack的妻子拼命阻拦，二人在海边发生了性关系……jack不久后发现了端倪。一天半夜揪着妻子的头发将她送到了manuel那里。从此妻子就和救生员生活在一起。仇恨与嫉妒使得jack失去了理智，最终矛盾激化，他杀死了救生员Manuel，在一天他出去捕鱼的时候，一艘船经过荒岛，妻子呼救成功，独自乘船离去，将丈夫jack抛弃在荒岛上……
