One Republic 【共和时代】是美国的一个流行摇滚乐队，曲风pop-rock/indie/alternative。乐队成立是2004年科罗拉多州，几个成员都是受Ryan Tedder所影响bass手Meyers吉他手Filkins,Drew Brown，鼓手Eddie Fischer。2006年One Republic的天使专辑打破哥伦比亚纪录，而Ryan Tedder说 "我要让人们喜欢.我不想有人说,'噢, 他有一个漂亮的声音。灵魂人物Ryan Tedder从5岁开始就被他的音乐家父亲训练学习钢琴。Ryan希望他们的音乐能够像u2那样给人近似于宗教关怀的感悟，而不仅仅只是觉得主唱嗓音不错。
从一支标准的地下乐队到后来有机会与Timbaland这样大师级的人物合作甚至被点名看好，不得不说是一种幸运，而他们的Myspace也从去年开始始终保持着超高的点击率，这也彻底改变了乐队的环境，星路变的平坦，成为了Billboard的热门选择。这首Apologize好像最好获得过Billboard排行版第二的成绩，而且还是最近的事。当然同样也有很多人是因为Timbaland Presents，Shock Value中优美感人的Apologize开始认识这支新鲜的乐队
近年英美两地乐队的风格已从上世纪八九十年代的泾渭分明，慢慢转变为相互融会贯通，与一般美国乐队的粗线条不同，OneRepublic的音乐相当感性细腻，音质动人的Tedder一开腔便散发出像是Keane般的英伦摇滚气质，但也不乏坚毅强硬的阳刚之气。另一方面，OneRepublic的音乐也像Maroon5一样很重视节奏感，只不过Maroon5以摇滚融合Funcky，而他们则是渗入了R&B以及Hip-Hop节奏。
