这是一首离别时的曲子，透露出对这片大地的喜爱，那么浓厚，那么深情，走的时候，请不要回头，否则会变成一尊石像永远留在这片大地上。听到火车呼啸而过了吗？听到这片大地固有的天籁之音吗？听到这个四处出游四处留情的男人的心声了吗？每次离别都是留下一次割舍不断的记忆。其实，再见的机会不多，因为这个世界太大了，如何用脚丈量完每一寸土地呢？因此，将所有的、一切的感情都赋予这么一首曲子里，请仔细倾听，慢慢感受吧，请不要红着双眼的时候说话，那个时候属于回忆。
整张专集都是马修亲自录音编曲的，自然、真实、空灵，诉说着一群狼的故事和它们生长的那片土地。《狼》连同《海角一乐园》成为马修所有专集里我的两盘最爱。
我喜欢狼，因为它是世界上最孤傲的动物，我也喜欢天鹅，因为它是世界上最优雅自得其乐的动物，而这两种动物又是世界上最懂得爱情的动物，执子之手，与子偕老。
