    原是一首非常著名的美国乡村民谣，1848年由Shaker Elder Joseph Brackett, Jr.创造，旋律简单。著名大提琴演奏家马友友和美国著名乡村歌手Alison Krauss共同演绎的此曲将民谣和古典相结合，完全超越了古典和民谣的限制，恣意挥洒出无限可能的音乐创意。

*Simple Gifts was a work song sung by the United Society of Believer's in Christ's Second Appearing (more commonly called the Shakers, an offshoot of the Quakers), whose last community in America( Hancock Village) died in 1960. It's now a museum.
