《多呐、多呐》是一个寓言，一个难懂的寓言。我们首先看到的是这样一个画面:要进入城市的马车上绑着一头满脸忧伤的小牛，天空中轻快地飞着一只小燕子。这两个意境形成鲜明对比，中心问题是自由。小牛被绑，失去自由，小燕轻飞，自由自在;一个在地上受苦，一个在室中享受。鸟善如此两分。风见此状，狂笑不止。小牛容易被绑架，却不知道原因、人是否也有时被幸割而不知为什么?但人鸟也不相同，鸟爱自由并且会飞，人爱自由，可谁施飞?还有那风，面对小牛、小岛与人，它狂笑不止，这隐藏着什么寓意呢?
风一直在笑，笑个不停，是不是在告诉人们;有些事根本说不清楚，人之命、兽之命岛之命均由天定?它在冷眼旁观，还是替谁说话?如果人们根本不与命抗争，终有一天会沦落则类似小牛那样的处境。
